Student Castle appoints Redwood to support their growth within the student accommodation sector
17 September 2010
Redwood have been brought on board by start up student accommodation developer and operator Student Castle to manage their PR and planning communications as the company looks to create a strong footprint across the sector.
Funded by Charles Dunstone and Roger Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Carphone Warehouse respectively, and led by Chief Executive Edward Cade and Director Jacqui Hawthorne, Student Castle already has three schemes underway across the UK. Student Castle - Newcastle, a 213-bed residence, will open in 2011 and Student Castle - Manchester and Student Castle - Cardiff, 520-bed and 602-bed residences, will open in 2012, subject to planning.
Redwood will be providing press office support to all of Student Castle's regional schemes, as well as corporate communications services. Redwood's stakeholder engagement and planning support team will also be working with Student Castle on a project-led basis. Redwood has already secured strong profile for Student Castle across property, construction and regional press off the back of planning permission being awarded for the company's Manchester scheme.
Student Castle has ambitions to expand over the next 3-5 years, and is targeting all key city centres across the UK as locations for their unique, high quality, affordable accommodation offer.
