Christmas is an important time for the retail industry, especially in light of the current national economic picture. Over the festive period, Redwood managed press enquiries and coverage opportunities for one of the country’s largest regional shopping centres, thecentre:mk. With a catchment area stretching from London to Birmingham and Cambridge to Oxford, thecentre:mk enjoyed record footfall and sales figures across the board over the festive period. The centre welcomed more than 750,000 guests through its doors in the week leading up to Christmas, and queues developed from the very early hours of Boxing Day morning.

Acting on behalf of the joint owners, and with the help of the local team, Redwood delivered fantastic coverage for the shopping centre. The Sun, The Guardian and The Express all featured thecentre:mk in their Boxing Day trading roundups alongside other internationally renowned shopping centres. Redwood also secured and delivered numerous stories to local press and broadcasters, who they worked closely with over the period.
