Redwood client Henley has further strengthened its team with senior appointments and a promotion following the second close of its secure income fund. The UK team has been bolstered to 83 people, with MD of Goodman UK, Jim Johnston joining its fund investment committee, Sonia Barnett being promoted to Finance Director of its healthcare business and David Blakeborough joining as Senior Associate on the Henley Investments team.

Real estate veteran Jim Johnston joins Henley as an independent member of the investment committee of the Henley Secure Income fund (Henley SIPUT), which has just completed its second close, of £210 million, following the fund’s first close in July 2017 and the completion of its first acquisition of c.£70 million of supported housing assets.

Elsewhere, Henley USA’s appetite for multi-family properties continues with the off-market purchase of an additional residential property in New York, bringing Henley’s total 2017 US investment to over $130m. This acquisition follows the group’s recent off-market purchases of c. 1,000 units in New York and Arizona.
