My Journey

I joined Redwood Consulting as an Intern seven years ago and have worked my way up to Associate Director. I work on a fantastic range of clients, and have been given the training and support needed to broaden my knowledge and expertise.

I find it incredibly rewarding to be a line manager, supporting members of my team in achieving their objectives, challenging them and helping them to explore new areas for growth. I love Thrifty Thursday (the day before payday) when we go out for lunch as a team – it’s a lovely bonding experience and a treat too.

My Journey

Property is part of the company DNA. Working at an agency like Redwood, you are fully-immersed in the industry and will grow as part of a team that has a collective experience of the sector spanning decades. This level of expertise is invaluable and results in an accelerated learning curve and deep understanding of property that is so crucial to being an effective communications consultant to our clients. Having studied languages at University, it’s also great to be able to put those to good use working on one of Redwood’s many International accounts.

My Journey

I’ve been working at Redwood Consulting for three years now. I joined as a Senior Account Executive, and I’m now an Account Director, and I’ve really enjoyed the new responsibilities that the company has helped me to take on. I’ve thrived working closely with my clients across a wide range of interesting, active accounts, something that I’ve been supported in doing from my very first day here.

We have a mentoring system in place, which provides support for members of staff away from formal line management. That’s been great for me both in helping my development and giving me the opportunity to mentor more junior colleagues and help them develop their own careers, which I find really rewarding.

Redwood is very encouraging about everyone in the team attending industry and networking events – from MIPIM to Twenty20 cricket, and breakfast and lunch briefings on every niche in the sector, there’s hardly a week when I don’t have something fun to attend that’s helped me grow my understanding of the industry.

My Journey

Senior Account Executive Lauren Smith shares her experience of an exciting professional milestone after taking part in her first ever new business pitch!

“It was always going to be nerve-wracking, however (and somewhat unsurprisingly), preparation is key and made me feel a lot more confident when it came down to it. Really getting under the skin of the brief and understanding our case studies was a really important part of this. Having the support from my experienced colleagues really helped and definitely made this process a fun one! I now can’t wait to get stuck into the next exciting brief and see where it takes us!”
