arc, Bury St Edmunds is an elegant town centre retail scheme that was developed by Centros on behalf of funder, Delancey.
Following a long-standing and successful partnership on other schemes within the Delancey portfolio, Redwood spearheaded the PR for the consumer launch event that took place in March 2009. The Redwood team then oversaw a wider PR programme comprising a stream of retailer openings and consumer events that ensured positive stakeholder relationships were maintained and built upon as the scheme cemented its position within the region.
Redwood’s strategy was designed to work closely with the town and its stakeholders to build public awareness of arc, its offer, location and facilities. The tailored strategy, created in tandem with the appointed marketing team, helped position arc as a preferred shopping choice for the region. This included widespread local, regional and consumer interest media engagement and extensive broadcast activity on the launch day in particular.
As a major landmark within the town, arc plays a pivotal role in the town’s identity. Redwood worked closely with the Council, Town Centre Management and local business community up to and following the launch to ensure connectivity and to promote public engagement with this new quarter of their town centre.
