Epicenter launch for AMF Fastigheter

International launch campaign

Capturing the imagination of the world’s media, Redwood launched Epicenter – a new workspace collective in the heart of Stockholm’s tech hub.

Redwood coordinated a comprehensive media plan to launch Epicenter Stockholm, a new state-of-the-art innovation hub in the heart of the Swedish capital. This started with an exclusive broadcast reveal with BBC tech correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones, which was featured on the 6pm and 10pm news. Following this, significant coverage was secured in international media outlets including The Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, Reuters and NBC’S The Today Programme.

For the story, BBC tech correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones underwent minor surgery on camera to have a RFID (radio frequency identification) chip implant inserted in to his hand. The chip technology is being offered to all members of Epicenter and allows them to communicate with devices both personal and within the building. Now ‘chipped’ with this ground-breaking technology, Rory has joined a host of other members who can interact with the building with a simple swipe of the hand.

The chipping technology is one of the many new technologies that Epicenter’s owner (Swedish property developer AMF Fastigheter) offers its membership of entrepreneurs, major corporates and fast growing start-ups. The innovation hub already boasts a myriad of tenants including international and local Swedish tech stars such as Microsoft, Tictail, Splay and Star Stable.
