Redwood was delighted to have supported PMB Holdings’ mixed-use planning application for its site in iconic Berwick Street, in the heart of London’s Soho.
The consented scheme will now redevelop PMB’s site to include a new urban hotel, 16 new homes, including four family-sized affordable flats, improved shops and new roof terraces for existing residents.
Redwood, working together with Comm Comm UK, assisted PMB in presenting the emerging vision, including at a popular September 2013 public exhibition. The wider consultation process included lengthy and detailed discussions with site neighbours, including residents and a wide range of independent retailers, to explain the details of the plans and the associated improvements proposed. Part of this included a number of face-to-face meetings with those most interested in the plans.
The application was approved by Westminster Council, with the community consultation undertaken having played a valuable role for both PMB and the local community in the run up to determination of the application.
