Working with Metro Shopping Fund, the joint venture between Land Securities and clients advised by Delancey, Redwood has provided corporate communications advice for the leasing and development activity at the 530,000 sq ft shopping centre in Wandsworth for almost a decade.

A key objective of the communications campaign is to highlight Wandsworth’s affluent catchment and retail offer, and profile how Southside has changed to a retail and property trade audience. This has been delivered by pursuing proactive media opportunities, positioning the centre as a destination in South West London and working with the leasing team to develop appropriate marketing collateral and aid in the delivery of marketing events.

This activity has been predominantly centred on the 130,000 sq ft extension along the Garratt Lane stretch of the scheme. The phased £40 million development seamlessly extended the success of Southside’s inside, to the outside. It has brought Wandsworth its first department store, an 82,000 sq ft Debenhams which opened in October 2015.
