Redwood recently worked with the JV partners delivering Islington Square, Cain Hoy Ltd and Sager Group, to announce the appointment of CBRE Asset Services UK as property and estate manager for the development.
Islington Square is a £400 million mixed-use development in one of London’s most vibrant and thriving boroughs.
Spanning four and a half acres, including the Grade II listed former Post Office, the development will deliver 170,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, 263 high-quality homes, 108 serviced apartments, modern office space and exceptional new public realm.
Redwood has been working with Islington Square since mid-2016 to coordinate and execute the communications surrounding the retail elements of the scheme, and oversee the implementation of the overarching communications strategy.
The announcement comes at a time when 66 per cent of the retail and leisure space at Islington Square has exchanged, is in solicitors’ hands or is being negotiated and over 50 per cent of the residential accommodation has been sold.
Ahead of opening, pre-lets have been secured with premium gym operator Third Space, to launch its first family gym concept, and luxury cinema The Lounge by Odeon. Citadines has been signed to operate the 108 serviced apartments; and Family Mosiac will run the affordable housing provision.
