The redevelopment of Elephant & Castle, or the ‘Piccadilly of the South’ as it was once known, is one of the most significant regeneration projects currently underway in central London. The shopping centre site is a crucial element and Redwood has been recently appointed by Delancey and APG to provide strategic communications support as the JV delivers on its ambition to create a revitalised town centre for Zone 1.
With Redwood’s support, the JV is running a programme of public consultation for the site’s redevelopment. Initial designs will be revealed later this year and will complement Delancey’s neighbouring Elephant Road site, where construction is underway for a new residential scheme with ground level retail.
Redwood will utilise its expertise in delivering coordinated communications campaigns for complex town centre regeneration projects, following its experience at Old Market Hereford (Stanhope), and Edinburgh St James (TIAA Henderson Real Estate). This role covers the full spectrum of communications support, including key message development and maintenance, press relations, public engagement, marketing and events management.
