More than 70 retailers and agents gathered at Islington Square for a breakfast event on Thursday 23 February. Attendees at the event were able to tour the construction site and talk with the project team delivering the major mixed use scheme.

Redwood coordinates and executes the communications surrounding the retail elements of Islington Square, and oversees the implementation of the overarching communications strategy, on behalf of Sager Group and Cain Hoy. The team led the organisation of this recent event to support the overall marketing of the development.

Hosted in the marketing suite on Upper Street, attendees were able to walk out onto one of the two newly constructed malls to see how the modern, double-height retail units will look via two full scale light boxes. Attendees were also able to get a sense of what the finished scheme will look like via 3-D, virtual reality goggles showing 360 degree views from various ‘hotspots’ around the scheme and the interactive model which allows users to pinpoint areas of the scheme and see views projected onto a big screen.

Islington Square is a £400 million mixed-use development in one of London’s most vibrant and thriving boroughs. Pre-lets have been secured with premium gym operator Third Space, and luxury cinema The Lounge by Odeon with representatives from both brands in attendance at the event.

Spanning four and a half acres, including the Grade II listed former Post Office, the development will deliver 170,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, 263 high-quality homes, 108 serviced apartments, modern office space and exceptional new public realm
