On 17 June, members of the Redwood team joined LandAid to oversee the charity’s annual 10k summer run. Competitive runners from across the UK property sector took part in the summer sporting event in Regents Park in the hope of beating last year’s target. The event was a huge success, raising £55,000 for LandAid’s charitable projects.

All donations from the run will go towards supporting LandAid projects such as the Avenues Youth Project in nearby Queens Park, which provides after-school and holiday activities for one of the most deprived wards in Westminster.

Joanna Averley, Chief Executive of LandAid, commented: “I’m always overwhelmed by the industry’s support for LandAid, and this year’s summer run was no exception. We estimate that the combined distance run by all participants today would have taken us from London to New Delhi – all in the name of uniting to help disadvantaged young people. That really is an amazing feat that I am tremendously proud of.

“A huge thank you to our headline sponsors GVA, our trophy sponsors and everyone who took part for helping make this our most successful summer run to date. Proof positive that together, we can make a bigger difference.”
