On Easter Saturday Redwood coordinated a day of activity at Leeds Corn Exchange to drive footfall, celebrate a number of new lettings and increase awareness of the retail offer.
To complement the style of retail offer, which includes unique independent designers and vintage stores, Redwood delivered a vintage themed event with an old fashioned tea-dance, tea shop, circus acts, stilt walkers and face painters.
Drawing upon the growing consumer trend for nostalgic and “home made” events, the Grade 1 listed building was completely transformed for the day.
The event was publicised through targeted advertising in the Yorkshire Evening Post and Metro, and substantial promotional work in Leeds City Centre. Redwood managed on-site activity throughout the day, which resulted in a fantastic 37% increase on the previous Saturday’s footfall (and a 76% increase on the previous Friday).
Since July 2009 Redwood has worked to provide PR and Stakeholder Communications support to Threadneedle Property Investments exciting vision for the building, in which time it has evolved into the destination shopping experience for independent Leeds’ retailers and fantastic gourmet food.
