The final party conferences before next year’s General Election have got underway and Redwood is there from the off.
Development and planning, not least the range of deep-rooted challenges associated with the housing market, remain very high on the political agenda and will be the subject of intense debate and various policy pledges over the next few weeks. The Labour Conference gets the ball rolling and party leader Ed Milliband’s comments about the introduction of ‘New Homes Corporations’ provide an early flavour of the type of initiative we will hear more about.
