In July 2012 a group of likeminded property professionals founded the ingeniously named ‘Propski’, a skiing networking event designed in its own words to ‘provide a fresh new look at building relationships within the property industry.’

Now in its third year, Propski 2015 was held from 10-17 January in Val Thorens and saw a record number of over 200 delegates attend, to meet, ski and network. Held in partnership with Estates Gazette, the trip comprised a range of events such as speed networking, a race day, a mountain challenge, bowling (incidentally won by Redwood client Leslie Jones) and a mountainside dinner, alongside more informal evening gatherings.

For the first time, a three-person Redwood team (chosen in part for their world-renowned ski skills and aptitude for eating fondue) joined the trip, which this year comprised a range of companies such as JLL, Savills, GVA, MacDonald & Company and Leslie Jones. Maintaining Redwood’s respected reputation at the heart of the industry, the team returned highly enthused, with an expanded network of contacts and friendships made.

With Redwood’s first venture into high altitude networking proving both highly enjoyable and successful, Propski 2016 is already marked into the company calendar. Surely there’s a space in the market for more events such as these? Perhaps Propskydiving – the freefall industry networking event?
