Residents, councillors and a range of other local stakeholders visited the community drop-in sessions held last week and this for Notting Hill Estate General Partner. At the three sessions, organised and staffed by Redwood, attendees were invited to view and comment on emerging proposals for the redevelopment of West Block, 146-164 Notting Hill Gate.

The current site is in need of further investment and the emerging proposals aim to revitalise it, creating a new residential and retail development that enhances both sides, including a service road to the rear, as well as improving connectivity with the surrounding area. Aims are to upgrade retail space at ground floor level, with five storeys of residential accommodation above and a single storey penthouse set back on all sides. Additionally, three town houses are proposed to the rear of the site.

Feedback has so far been positive and will now be very carefully considered as a planning application is put together for submission later this year.
