The launch followed the publication of a report, which was commissioned by MEPC alongside sponsors Barclays and PwC, which discovered the existence of a high-performance technology cluster in and around MEPC’s Silverstone Park.

Launched on 27 May, the report achieved coverage on BBC News 24, BBC Radio Northampton and City AM, as well as further coverage in regional, business and technology press. Redwood also secured an endorsement from the then current Secretary of State for BIS, Sajid Javid, for the media announcement.

The culmination of the project resulted in Redwood organising a breakfast symposium on 30 June to promote the report and its findings amongst the finance community. The event was hosted by Barclays and achieved an 80 per cent turnout of targeted attendees, with speakers including MEPC, SEMLEP, Barclays, PwC and KWSP.

Clare Hartshorne, Account Director at Redwood said: “The launch of the Silverstone Technology Cluster is a game changer for the high-performance technology cluster in and around Silverstone. It will not only contribute to promoting Silverstone Park, with its enormous development potential, but also the surrounding area as a leading global destination for the high-performance technology industry.”
