Kate, Clare and Hattie, Redwood’s resident adrenalin junkies, took up the Mission Possible challenge and descended 541ft down the Broadgate Tower on Friday 20 September for the LandAid Day Abseil.
They were joined by over 100 other amateur abseilers from the property industry to scale the skyscraper, which is the City’s fourth tallest building. The event kicked off a fortnight of fundraising ahead the annual LandAid Day celebrations on 10 October 2013.
“It was an incredible day,” said LandAid Chief Executive Joanna Averley, who also took the plunge. “To have so many people step forward to take on this personal challenge is great for LandAid. Having made the drop, I know first-hand that it’s a phenomenal experience to take on. Thanks to everyone who took part, raised sponsorship and to all their family, friends and colleagues who provided that sponsorship”.
