With £5.25bn of development underway in the London Borough of Croydon over the next five years, Redwood was delighted to be one of the ambassadors for the commercial anchor, at the Ruskin Square stand for Schroders and Stanhope as part of the London pavilion at MIPIM.
A model depicting the two million square feet of development proposed at Ruskin Square was on display and hundreds of individuals visited the stand to learn more about the plans. The £500 million development will see the creation of up to 625 new homes, plus 1.25 million square feet of offices and 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurants on a nine acre site immediately next to East Croydon station. The first phase of the residential element is already under construction with the first office due to start on site over the coming months.
Redwood secured speaking slots for Stanhope and Schroders on the Croydon and Office Supply panels hosted by the London stand, and the week was topped off with the announcement that Box Park would be launching a Croydon venture at Ruskin Square in summer 2016.
