A night of glitz and glamour at the annual Sceptre Awards dinner was attended by a group from Redwood last week. The black tie ceremony, held on 22nd June at The Dorchester, recognises the best practice and the best people in the shopping centre industry and Redwood attends annually in recognition of the strong relationship it holds with Shopping Centre magazine. Redwood hosted a table with creative agency RedCow, with whom we work on several projects, and guests of Redwood included Izzie Peskett from Capital & Regional and Steven Gay from ING Real Estate.

Redwood works with a large number of the well known shopping centres nominated for awards and many succeeded in winning prizes on the night. Robert Goodman won the Large Centre Manager of the Year award for his work as Centre Director at thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes, while his colleague Melanie Beck came runner-up in the Marketing Manager category. Erica Burlace of CrownGate in Worcester won in the Medium-sized Centre Manager of the Year category, with fellow Redwood clients Paul Haynes and Neil Churchill taking the runner-up spots. Another Redwood client, The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, came runner-up in the Environmental Management Team of the Year category. The award of the evening, however, was the Lifetime Achievement Award which went to Capital & Regional CEO, Ken Ford. Capital & Regional asset manages The Mall and The Junction Funds, both of which are clients of Redwood.

Everybody enjoyed the evening and the Redwood team extends its congratulations to the winners and all of those who were shortlisted!
