Redwood is pleased to announce that Vertical Rush, the original and highest tower running event in the UK, will return for its second year on 25th February 2010 at Tower 42, the tallest building in the City of London.
Organised in conjunction with housing charity Shelter and long-time client Tower 42, Vertical Rush is a uniquely demanding event that challenges participants to race up the 42 floors of the Tower in the fastest time possible time.
The first ever Vertical Rush event took place in March 2009 and raised over £165,000 for Shelter. Redwood’s PR and media campaign successfully helped to recruit over 600 participants and generate fantastic positive awareness of the event. The winner, a professional stair runner, achieved an amazing winning time of just 4 minutes 22 seconds!
Building on the success of this year’s event, Redwood will once again play a leading role in the delivery of Vertical Rush 2010, providing media support and event management.
