The full story
Rhys has worked in the media since 2003 and has national and international experience in corporate communications as well as agency and print journalism covering business, financial markets, politics and economics.
During his 11 years as a journalist, Rhys spent seven years at Reuters in London as a business correspondent covering a range of sectors including infrastructure, construction, leisure and retail. This followed spells in Paris and Dubai where he reported for and helped launch several business titles.
More recently, Rhys headed up PR for a FTSE-listed construction and outsourcing group, where he managed all areas of the company’s corporate and financial communications. Rhys has significant experience in devising and managing media strategies, ranging from promotional to crisis management, and is able to engage comfortably with investors, customers, government and media, exploiting his journalistic background.
Rhys is a mediocre yet passionate cook who is aiming to become ‘decent’ over the coming years. A proud Welshman, Rhys is also a big rugby fan and likes to think he turned down a career as a professional rugby player to make it big in the media world.
