The full story
Tom joined Redwood with a background in journalism after previously working at a property finance trade publication.
In his previous role, Tom specialised in writing about property development finance and how developers secured funding for upcoming projects, both in the long- and short-term.
Bringing with him knowledge of the property industry, Tom also has experience in knowing what stories journalists are looking for, helping him to come up with good ideas for clients looking to secure more editorial coverage.
As well as reporting, he also played a key role in his last employer’s sales team, helping to maintain relationships with advertisers by compiling editorial coverage, delivering editorial ideas and putting together press releases.
Prior to working as a property finance reporter, Tom studied history at Lancaster University before undertaking a NCTJ in multimedia journalism in Manchester.
While training as a journalist, Tom covered Football League and Premiership Rugby matches where he learnt how to produce content at a fast pace and react to breaking news under pressure and tight deadlines.
Tom is an avid sports watcher, mainly focusing on football and cricket, and loves to remember great sporting moments from the 1990s (when Manchester United were good).
